SUMMARY

On International Women’s Day, Villa Albertine and the Center for Curatorial Leadership are thrilled to launch the Villa Albertine Museum Series, which will bring together 24 female leaders from premier cultural institutions in France and the United States. The Series will explore the future of museums on both sides of the Atlantic through timely conversations held in 2023 on how museums must reinvent themselves to meet the challenges of the present.

On March 8, 2023, the Series’ inaugural event showcased an exceptional transatlantic conversation on the cultural heritage dimensions of libraries between Laurence Engel, President of the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BNF), and Dr. Carla Hayden, 14^th Librarian of Congress, Library of Congress.
